My Origin Story
Hello! My name is Rahaf Kishk and I am an award winning Visual Effects Artist. I have worked on multiple films including A Desert, Self Sabotage, Ekelbrode, and the award-winning short film, Chain. I'm primarily a compositor, lighting, and texturing VFX Artist, but I also have strong skills in dynamics.

I was a part of StudioX for over 2 years and was a lead VFX artist in StudioX for Lookdev and Lighting for the last 6 months. Before I was made a lead in StudioX, I was tasked with texturing one of the main character, the Orchid Mantis, for the short film Chain and this eventually led me to becoming the lead artist for Chain. As the Lead Artist in Chain, I was responsible for supervising the production of the film. While I continued my Lookdev and compositing work, I was also responsible for approving the final shots for the film. I worked hand in hand with the director, Ling Han, and the producer, Tzu Ying Ho, to ensure quality control and that we successfully captured the director's vision for the film. After the film’s completion, Chain currently has 10 awards worldwide and it is still running the festival circuit. This path has been a wonderful journey that shaped me to become the person I am today.
I was known as the person with an adult-like body (my friends like to call it fun-sized), but a child’s mind and imagination. I was the person who always won first place in any competition involving creativity and imagination that was hosted in school. It led me to my dream career which is Animation and Visual Effects. I am a bilingual, energetic, middle child, multitasker, hard worker, dog person, loves playing games, laughs in her sleep, ambidextrous, charismatic, courageous, and enjoys microwaved marshmallows artist who was born to stand out.

I grew up watching movies every day. Screen time was my favorite time of the day. I would go to the movie theater once a week to experience the thrill of being in someone else's story. I watched Marvel on repeat and never got bored of it. Marvel movies were the reason I discovered my passion for Visual Effects. I imagined myself as part of the Avengers when I was a young heroine who hadn't been struck by lightning... yet.
I often daydream a lot while looking at nature imagining weird characters going through adventures and fighting obstacles in the wild. It might be childish for some people but to me, it’s not. Imagination comes and goes like the wind and can be forgotten easily, that’s why I always have a small notebook filled with all the ideas that come to my mind. I like to drench notebooks with my ideas because creativity is endless like a bottomless drink.
Every superhero has a superpower, this is mine. I was born with a creative mind like no other.
